Life You Can Love
By Luneil Morrow
When I wake up in the morning and see sunlight streaming between my blinds, I love it.
When I get up in the morning and the house is chilly, I love that I can go back to bed if I want to,
I really, really hate the snow, but I love that I don’t have to go out if I don’t want to.
In the summer mornings sometimes I sit on my porch to drink my coffee and enjoy the aroma and I also love the smell of fresh cut grass.
Some mornings I walk through the neighborhood seeing small children out playing and the mothers are still in their pj’s, the site makes me smile as I think of my own grandchild whom I love.
When I make myself sit at my desk in the evening and listen to my music as I write I love it when I get an idea and my creative juices start to flow.
I look forward to the second Thursday of every month because I love sharing with my new friends stories that I have written and listening to their literary works.
The holiday season is here and I do not like that I am missing loved ones but I do like going to Christmas functions to lighten my mood. Exchanging gifts, laughing and eating works wonders.
Being a women of a certain age I feel blessed to still have both of my parents so I love when my dad calls me "flower" and my mom tells me to call her when I get home.
I love when I win a gift I did not expect like a kindle and I love that I can make the time to enjoy it.
All the things I talk about are minor but when you put them all together it makes me appreciate what I have and who I have in my life.
I love that it doesn’t take much to make me happy.
